Energy Efficiency Incentives Program

Put money in the bank with Energy Efficiency Incentives from Cheyenne Light!

Cheyenne Light offers energy efficiency incentives to help combat the rising energy costs consumers are currently facing.

By promoting the use of energy efficient equipment and practices, we demonstrate a sincere commitment to supporting a cleaner environment.  Our energy efficient incentive program is designed to encourage residential customers to consider energy efficient measures for their homes and educate consumers about the many ways to save energy and money.

To qualify, products and services must be purchased in the current year. Proof of purchase must accompany a completed energyefficiency rebate application form.

Natural Gas Furnace or Boiler Installation
Cheyenne Light, Fuel & Power residential natural gas customers who install a new ENERGY STAR rated natural gas furnace or boiler (90 percent or greater AFUE) qualify for an incentive payment of $150 (per unit)*. Customers must show proof of purchase or installation including model number and ENERGY STAR rating.

Electric Heat Pump or Geothermal System Replacement
Cheyenne Light residential electric customers who install an electric heat pump or ground source heat pump unit (13 SEER or higher), qualify for an incentive payment of $200 (per unit)*. Customers must show proof of purchase or installation including model number and ENERGY STAR rating.

Natural Gas Water Heater
Cheyenne Light will offer cash incentives to residential customers who purchase a new energy-efficient ENERGY STAR rated gas water heater.

Customers are offered $1.00 per gallon unit*. To qualify for a rebate, high-efficiency gas storage water heaters must have a minimum energy factor of 0.62. Customers must show proof of purchase or installation including model number and ENERGY STAR rating.

Electric Water Heater
Cheyenne Light will offer $1.00 per gallon unit* for residential customers purchasing a new energy-efficient ENERGY STAR rated electric water heater.

To qualify for a rebate, the new water heater unit must have a minimum capacity of 30 gallons and a maximum 4.5 kW electric heating element. Customers must show proof of purchase or installation including model number and ENERGY STAR rating.

Tankless or On-Demand Water Heater Installation
Cheyenne Light will offer cash incentives to residential customers who purchase a new energy efficient ENERGY STAR rated tankless or on-demand water heater.

Customers are offered $50.00 per unit*. To qualify for a rebate, high-efficiency storage water heaters must have a minimum energy factor of 0.82. Customers must show proof of purchase or installation including model number and ENERGY STAR rating.

Programmable Thermostat
Cheyenne Light residential customers can qualify for a $20* cash incentive when they purchase and install a new energyefficient (ENERGY STAR) rated programmable thermostat unit for a natural gas or electric heating system.

The incentive is limited to one unit per household. Customers must show proof of purchase or installation including model number and ENERGY STAR rating of the programmable thermostat.

Residential Home Performance with ENERGY STAR Incentive
Cheyenne Light residential customers may receive a cash rebate incentive of $150* after completing a home energy audit through a certified Home Performance with ENERGY STAR service contractor. The incentive will be paid after the homeowner submits a certificate of completion to Cheyenne Light.
