Mark Stege Named General Manager of Cheyenne Light, Fuel & Power

March 14, 2007—Rapid City, SD—Mark Stege was recently named General Manager of Cheyenne Light, Fuel & Power, a utility subsidiary of Black Hills Corporation. He has served as Cheyenne Light’s Director of Customer Service since June of 2005.

"I believe that the basic building block of customer service is treating everyone we encounter with integrity and respect. Our employees have really put forth the effort,” said Stege. "And now that we’re building a new power plant in Wyoming dedicated to serve Cheyenne Light’s customers, we can also offer increased price stability going forward.”

"Mark has been instrumental in providing the high-quality of service Cheyenne Light customers deserve,” said Linn Evans, Chief Operating Officer of Black Hills Corporation’s retail businesses. "During the past two years Cheyenne Light has made improvements in customer service, and continues to deliver gas and electric service in a reliable, safe manner. Under Mark’s leadership, we expect continued improvements.”

Stege and his family live in Cheyenne; he is currently completing the Leadership Cheyenne program, and is as an active member of the Cheyenne community. Stege joined Black Hills Corporation in 1995 as an internal auditor and held various auditing and accounting positions until he moved to Cheyenne Light in 2005. He graduated from the University of Wyoming with a degree in geology, and also has a degree in accounting from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley. Mark and his wife, Patsy, a Casper native, have two sons.

Stege replaces Randy Winkelman who has been assigned to other responsibilities within Black Hills Corporation.
